The Founders
Tony
Hoover - Tony founded Red Line Tours in March of 2000 as a dream
that it would become a catalyst for change in Los Angeles. His concept
was that Red Line Tours would help shift locals and visitors perceptions
that Los Angeles lack history, architecture or culture.
Tony's love for history and architecture began as a teenager when he would take the train into Chicago from rural Indiana. He studied environmental design at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana and moved to California in 1990. Tony worked at Sony Pictures Entertainment until the time was right and in late 2000 he launched Red Line Tours.
Philip
Ferentinos - Philip joined Red Line Tours in December of 2000 and
serves as co-founder of the business. Philip's love of sightseeing,
history and architecture began as a kid when he became a lifetime
member of the National Trust in England.
Originally from London's West End, Philip has a diversified background as both actor and successful businessman. Philip starred as "Frank'n Furter" in European and American productions of "The Rocky Horror Show". He also starred in a prime time television series in England titled "Ice Warriors". Previously, Philip worked as an international investment broker before becoming a Marketing Manager for Unilever's European ice cream unit.
